The Director of Capital Markets will lead equity capital-raising activities to support our current acquisition strategy. As the driving force behind investor engagement, this individual will play a critical role in shaping our relationships with high-net-worth individuals and family offices, as well as institutional investors where appropriate. Working directly with the executive team, this role is ideal for an entrepreneurial professional seeking to make an outsized impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Must be zealous to help investors by providing downside protected, long-term returns in real estate investments.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Capital Raising:
* Secure equity commitments from HNWIs and family offices, as well as institutional investors opportunistically.
* Develop and execute fundraising strategies to achieve target equity.
* Cultivate relationships with joint venture partners, ensuring alignment with the firm's vision and goals.
Investor Relations & Communications:
* Build long-term relationships with investors by delivering exceptional service and transparency.
* Create world-class investor materials, including pitch decks, offering memoranda, and quarterly performance updates.
* Represent the firm at industry conferences, roadshows, and private events.
Collaboration & Leadership:
* Work closely with placement agents to amplify fundraising efforts.
* Partner with internal teams (underwriting, FP&A, and operations) to ensure seamless execution of deals and alignment with investor expectations.
Market Positioning:
* Champion the development of the firm's marketing collateral and online presence.
* Identify innovative opportunities to enhance the firm's reputation and reach within the global investment community.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Mission Aligned: Zealous to help investors with downside protected real estate investments, acting with a stewardship mentality.
* Proven Performer: 7-12 years of capital-raising experience, with a track record of securing $50M+ in equity, ideally within real estate.
* Trusted Relationships: Strong existing network of HNWIs and family offices.
* Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of private equity structures, multifamily real estate, and HNW and Family Office investor dynamics.
* Entrepreneurial Drive: A self-starter who thrives in lean, high-growth environments.
* Polished Communicator: Exceptional presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring confidence at all levels.
