Job SummaryThe BHS System-Level Director of Central Sterile Processing, under the Direction of the BMC Senior Director for Perioperative Services, will provide strategic oversight and centralization of policy and procedure for all Central Sterile Processing (CSP) department locations across Berkshire Health Systems. This role, through collaboration with all perioperative and ancillary stakeholders, is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of sterilization, decontamination, and infection control are maintained. This position will collaborate with all BHS departments and provider offices utilizing CSP services to ensure safe and efficient processing and logistics for all instrumentation that must be terminally sterilized or receive high level disinfection. This position will help to develop and manage the CSP budget at the local and system level leveraging system resources to be a good steward of the system's resources.Experience
  • Two years of progressive leadership in central sterile processing or related healthcare operations.
  • Experience with CSP leadership in a multi-site healthcare system.
  • One year of experience preparing for CMS or Joint Commission survey preferred.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related healthcare field required.
License & Certifications
  • CRCST from IAHCSMM or CBSPD required.
  • Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) within 6 months of hire.
Additional Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of sterile processing standards, infection control practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, lead teams and drive quality improvement initiatives.

  • Monday -Friday
  • 7am -3:30 pm
