Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and oversee all client service programs, ensuring effective service delivery.

• Recruit, train, mentor and supervise client services staff and Warmline volunteers.

• Manage your own small high-acuity caseload, and ensure resources are available for staff and volunteers as they manage their caseloads.

• Manage projects and create systems to foster effective communication and sharing of resources.

• Provide direct services such as support group facilitation, intake interviews, and ongoing follow-up.

• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.

• Build strong community and institutional partnerships; Act as the primary liaison with the medical community by fostering relationships, enhancing referral systems, attending Tumor Boards, and conducting patient advocacy.

• Provide leadership and direction for client services operations, finances, and human resources.

• Ensures client services data collection is timely and complete.

• Participate in educational outreach, community presentations, and health fairs.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of cancer and its physical and emotional impact on individuals.

• Personal, professional, or direct experience with cancer is required.

• Strong organizational and leadership skills.

• At least 3 years of supervisory experience, including with volunteers.

• Ability to run effective meetings and manage multiple projects as a collaborative leader.

• Experience with goal setting, project management, and fostering communication systems.

• Healthcare knowledge, particularly of local resources; medical professional and/or medical case management background (RN, MD, NP, PA, BSW) desirable and bachelor's degree preferred.

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

• Self-starter, collaborative, culturally sensitive, and adaptable with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, databases, and data management.

• Flexibility for evening and weekend commitments (e.g., support groups and health fairs).

• Public speaking skills required; bilingual/bicultural (Spanish) preferred.
