University of Rochester: Office of the Provost: University of Rochester Medical Center: School of Medicine and Dentistry: Medicine: Medicine: Gastroenterology/Hepatology**Salary Range or Pay Grade**$450,000 - $550,000 a year**Description**The Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology is seeking:**Position Title:** **Director of Clinical Operations / Endoscopy****Overview:** The Director of Clinical Operations for UR Gastroenterology & Hepatology will collaborate with Nursing and Practice Leadership to oversee the medical operations of the practice, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to best practices in gastroenterology. As a member of the division leadership, the candidate will participate in strategic planning and decision making and work with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement clinical protocols and standard operating procedures. Service in this role will be at the pleasure of the Division Chief of Gastroenterology & Hepatology and the Chair of Medicine.**Key Responsibilities:**· **Effort: 60% Clinical / 30% Administrative / 10% Academic**· **Part of the GI Division steering committee**· **Candidate should be at the Associate or Professor level**· **Director will provide support to SMH, Sawgrass, Highland Hospital and Strong West procedure and clinic sites to ensure:****Leadership and Strategy:**+ Provide clinical oversight and guidance for clinic and endoscopic procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices, quality standards, and patient safety protocols.+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, technicians, and support staff, to optimize patient care delivery and outcomes.+ Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the endoscopy department.+ Serve as a clinical resource for complex cases, procedural techniques, and clinical decision-making.**Quality Assurance:**+ Partners with nursing and assigned quality leaders to participates in quality assurance programs to monitor and improve the quality of clinic and endoscopic services.+ Establish clinical protocols, guidelines, and performance metrics to measure and enhance patient outcomes.+ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and guidelines governing endoscopic services.+ Stay abreast of changes in regulations, policies, and best practices related to endoscopy and gastroenterology.+ Work closely with quality assurance, risk management, and compliance teams to address regulatory issues and maintain a culture of safety and compliance.**Qualifications**M.D. Degree or equivalentMust obtain a New York State Medical License prior to start dateEligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and DentistryMust meet all credentialing requirementsEligible for Board Certification in GastroenterologyPost offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment requiredCompliance with University and New York State health requirements**Application Instructions****If you already have an Interfolio account, please sign in to apply to this position.
