As part of our ongoing expansion, we seek a Director of Clinical Support, Western Division to join our team. POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Clinical Support is a management role with responsibility for directing and organizing the Clinical Specialist team to support the customers in North America. The Director of Clinical Support is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing field implementation of OrganOx's annual goals by managing activities of the clinical specialist team and clinical operations to achieve the revenue and profit goals of the company. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: •Manages and coaches Clinical Specialist employees through field visits, individual or group meetings, and direct conversations. •Responsible for the performance of the clinical support of the metra at all North American customer sites. •Ensures efficient and effective scheduling of case coverage for North America including remote and in person support. •Partners with Operations department to ensure coordinated services and clinical efforts across the customer base, driving clinical efficiencies and case coverage. •Assist in the formulation of strategic plans, tactics, budget including annual and five-year plans. •Develop and maintain relationship with key accounts; identify customer issues and resolve any related difficulties. •Provide regular reports, forecasts and communication with senior management. •Achieve inventory planning and control at customer site in collaboration with Operations team in such a manner that the stock is sufficient for customer utilization as well ensuring that the products to not exceed the expiry date. •Schedules resources for clinical events. •Ensures all direct reports have annual/quarterly objectives and implement a regular schedule of evaluating performance, providing feedback and coaching, and documenting performance needs and achievements; implement performance improvement plans, if needed. •Implements activities and strategies to achieve short and long-term business objectives especially related to clinical activities. •Provides ongoing feedback/coaching and regular performance and development discussions with employees and implements corrective actions where necessary. •Documents field visits with employees with actions observed and suggestions for improvement for the individual Clinical Specialist and adheres to, communicates, and reinforces OrganOx's policies and business conduct standards as needed. •Oversees the training and development of Clinical Specialists in product knowledge and competitive knowledge with guidance from the Director of Training and Education. •Oversees and manages calendar of new customer onboarding. •Manages all Clinical Specialist activities internally and externally. •Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Quality, Legal regarding all clinical operations activities. •Identifies clinical opportunities through analytics and/or field visits. •Addresses clinical opportunities through coaching or the development of specific measurable projects. •Provides direction to Clinical Specialists regarding the management of assets, expenses, budgets, etc. •Performs administrative tasks related to cost center management, expenses, email, and other communication activities. •Follows all work and quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance. •Partners with HR to recruit and hire top candidates for open positions. •Continually works to maintain a strong, diverse personnel bench of candidates for use in future hiring opportunities. •Other duties as assigned by Global CCO and President of North America. •Adhere to the letter and spirit of OrganOx's Code of Conduct and all other company policies. Requirements •5-7 years of experience in management of clinical specialist teams in med tech industry or hospital setting. •Strong communicator, capable of effectively presenting ideas and concepts. •Proven ability to work in a matrix organization. •Strong analytical skills: ability to quickly aggregate and analyze information and draw conclusions. •Strong leader and motivator with the ability to mentor talent within the organization. •Be prepared to accept a high degree of responsibility. •Be highly observant of people and procedures. •Have an analytic approach to problem solving. •Ability to work in a matrix organization •Be willing to work long and unpredictable hours with travel. Qualifications The Director of Clinical Support should/will have: •Bachelor's Degree; and at least 3 years of management experience. •Computer literate and familiar with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. •Be able to travel regularly within North America as required. •Be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. •Legal authorization to work in the USA.
