Insight Global's client is searching for Director of Cloud Operations. This director will be a senior leader responsible for overseeing cloud strategy, architecture, and operations. This role involves managing cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and cost-efficiency, while fostering innovation across the organization. The Director of Cloud Operations will have multiple direct reports as they will assist in the hiring of the new Cloud Services team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with the company's business goals.
- Plan for future growth and advancements to ensure scalability and performance.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and adoption of cloud platforms, services, and technologies.
- Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems and applications.
- Implement and monitor cloud security measures to protect data and applications from threats.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cloud efficiency, agility, and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of management experience.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proven experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and best practices.
- Ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage large-scale cloud projects.
- At least 5 years in cloud architecture and management roles is a plus.
- Proficiency in cloud management tools and automation technologies.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
- Experience in developing team structures and processes that drive results.
