- Manage community and public relations for special projects and press inquiries.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive community relations and communications strategy, both short-term and long-term, aligned with the company's mission, vision, and values.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local media outlets, non-profit organizations, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance the company's public image and reputation within the communities across the US in which the company operates.
- Plan, organize, and oversee community events, sponsorships, and other public activities that strengthen the company's presence and engagement in its communities.
- Represent the company in community forums, public meetings, and other events to advocate for community interests and company initiatives.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with local organizations, schools, and businesses that align with the company's community engagement goals.
- Develop and manage the community relations budget, ensuring efficient use of resources to maximize community impact.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of community relations initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Complete video, photography, and print projects as needed.
- Update and monitor social media accounts.
- Oversee, supervise and direct work of subordinate employees to ensure the above tasks are completed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with media solutions, print layout, various social media outlets, web design, video projects, community relations, professional writing, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
