Cooperates with community organizations in the development of understanding and interest in hospital programs and participation in long range plans. 1. Creates a closer liaison and working relationship between the community and the hospital staff by improving communications and enlarging perspectives. 2. Stimulates an analysis of community health needs to enable the hospital to plan and develop policies and programs which best serve the community. 3. Assists the community in utilizing available hospital services and programs. 4. Assists in the development of representative Community Advisory Boards and provides the Boards with an appraisal of community needs and problems. 5. Promotes participation by the community in the activities of the hospital. Minimum Qualifications 1. A Baccalaureate Degree issued upon completion of a four-year course in an accredited college or university; and, 2. Four years of full time, professional experience in a health or social agency in a responsible administrative or supervisory capacity, of which two years' experience is to be in community service and/or public relations; or, 3. A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, and three years of professional experience; or, 4. A satisfactory combination of education, training and experience.
