Who We Are

HMV is a small, family-office real estate investment/development firm with significant real estate assets in California, Nevada, and Idaho. Many of HMV's current projects are ground-up development projects ranging from multi-family apartments to luxury second-home communities. The company and its management team have extensive experience in the real estate investment and mortgage financing industry as an investor, land developer, and mortgage banker with an emphasis on large land assemblages and conceptual project design and entitlement efforts.

Job Description Overview

HMV is looking for an advanced, self-motivated, and talented Communications Director to lead our marketing department. You will be in charge of producing high-quality content that engages people and builds brand recognition. The main tasks will include creating informative content, press releases, articles, and media opportunities to share our brand, products, and services. You will contribute to the development of company websites, organize meetings and presentations, and deliver our company message to the public.

Our team believes that a multi-pronged and persistent marketing strategy is necessary, and you will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and implementation of these strategies. This will include a variety of outreach programs including both modern digital marketing methods and traditional direct mail methods.

Responsibilities

• Create informative and interesting press releases, newsletters, and related marketing materials.

• Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build customer loyalty programs, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction.

• Organize and direct promotional events.

• Measure and report results in media in terms of return on investment (ROI) and return on objectives (ROO).

• Be a procreative and empowered leader of the marketing team.

• Supervise projects to guarantee all content publication is ready.

• Establish and drive a multi-channel communications strategy.

• Prepare and manage all communications material.

• Develop a brand voice and maintain brand integrity across all platforms.

• Manage media relations and develop contacts with media members, influencers, and community leaders.

• Assist in creating digital, video, audio, and print content.

• Track engagement across various platforms and make data-driven decisions.

• Manage presence at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

• Create a budget for the communications team and ensure compliance.

• Copywriting marketing and branding material for prospective buyers/investors in various mediums (e.g., postcard mailers, website pages, social media platforms, emails, print and digital ads, etc.)

• Develop and oversee the marketing of the family office investment management, strategic development, and operational plan

Job Type

Full-Time

Salary

$85,000 - $90,000/year.

Desired Skills/Experience

• 5 / 6 plus years of work experience in a Communications Leadership Role in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related experience (preferably in real estate)

• Extensive knowledge, media contacts, and experience managing, and communicating for real estate brands.

• Great multitasker and capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects with different deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with impeccable copywriting and copy-editing abilities.

• Exceptional ability to deliver compelling presentations to an audience and strong negotiation abilities are a plus.

• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, enthusiastic, and eager to participate and learn in a multi-disciplinary environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Advanced level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations

• Excellent organizational, quantitative, and communication skills; able to interface with top-level executives and real estate owners.

• Strong leadership track record and strong mentoring skills toward direct subordinates.

• Understanding of copywriting, graphic design, layout, and publishing

• Working knowledge of content management systems, HTML coding, website design, and digital graphics production

• Experience managing digital content and familiarity with social media platforms and social media marketing

• Experience with search engine marketing, Google Analytics, and Google AdWords

• Advanced with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro)

• Advanced with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
