Job Description:
USC Athletics is looking to hire a Director of Community Outreach to manage the Trojan Outreach program. Established in 2013, Trojan Outreach seeks to promote health and education in Southern California by connecting the local community to student-athletes at USC athletics events. This role will oversee all elements of the program, including staffing, budget management, event planning, student-athlete mentorship, community relationship building, and PR. Trojan Outreach events include elementary school reading programs, holiday gift giveaways, and ticket donation programs. An ideal candidate has a background in non-profit management, community organizing, or fundraising.
This position serves a diverse student and staff population, must demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for historically under-served populations, and is expected to contribute to the program's diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts. This is a full-time position with work expected to include some weekends in support of athletic and community events. Understanding of the unique culture and needs of college athletes is preferred. Candidates will drive to destinations within the greater Los Angeles area.

Salary Range:
The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000-90,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
