Director Of Compliance Overview:To ensure consistent application of federal, state and local laws, regulations and ordinances with emphasis in the areas of gaming, liquor, and operations; to submit and maintain proper licensing as applicable; to liaison between the Company and state and local regulators; to monitor club activities to ensure compliance with regulations, codes and company policies; to review special events, promotions, and giveaway programs to ensure compliance with all applicable laws; to process agreements, to work with operational areas as needed or as assigned to guide on new projects; and to complete special projects as assigned by Management.Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of Property Compliance.
- Maintain strong business relationships with regulatory authorities including the LSP, State Fire Marshall, Louisiana Health District, and connect with other agencies as needed.
- Aid all departments relating to various compliance matters; regularly interacting with legal, casino and hotel marketing, casino operations, hotel, finance/accounting, security, investigations, safety, claims and food and beverage.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of regulations, codes, and statutes as they pertain to gaming, liquor, food and beverage and other operations.
- Review and edit rules for marketing events, promotions and offers and corresponding collateral to ensure they meet minimum federal and state standards and when applicable notify agencies of or obtain permits for special events.
- Submit and/or oversee to ensure all property licenses are obtained and maintained.
- Filing of Property executive gaming and liquor license applications and subsequent investigations.
- Filing of periodic waiver requests, regulatory gaming reports and agreements to ensure registration to include foreign gaming, key employee, independent agent, independent host, and ownership conditions.
- Review new gaming equipment installs and assist with field trials.
- Provide guidance and oversight on property compliance and other policies/procedures including training and work card requirements.
- Provide guidance and oversight on new venues and special projects.
- Monitor appropriate jurisdictional websites and disseminate information internally.
- Attend industry workshops and seminars for up-to-date regulation or industry changes.
- Collaborate state legislative bills and local ordinance drafting, monitoring and dissemination of new laws or ordinances as it affects property operation in conjunction with the general counsel and government relations.
- Assist with compliance by reviewing par lists daily, forwarding marketing forms as received and auditing forms monthly to ensure appropriate marking and forwarding to global compliance.
- Regularly walk the property to be aware of what's happening and ensure compliance such as no minors in age restricted areas, proper signage is maintained, gaming areas aren't blocked, no unsafe conditions, etc.
- Assist with regulatory audits.
- Maintain any and all supporting documentation, as required by the appropriate regulatory agencies.
- Filing of applications for new games.
- Attend and participate in Title 31 compliance committee meetings.
- Perform other assignments/duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Excellent writing and communication skills required.
- The ability to obtain and keep any position required work cards which includes a Gaming License.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
