Position purpose:
Seeking a KYC Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our KYC Refresh team responsible for the oversight of the KYC refresh process and implementation in accordance with policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Primary Duties will include:
- Oversee day to day processing workflow for KYC Refresh Team
- Handle case assignments and track work production for KYC Refresh Staff.
- Provide management reporting on production metrics and handle ad hoc requests for production data.
- Utilize firm client data reporting structures to identify clients in scope for refresh as part of BAU refresh process. Ensure monthly client population in scope for refresh is reviewed and released for completion to adhere to firm refresh timelines and requirements.
- Review escalations from KYC Refresh Team on customer KYC documentation to ensure compliance with firms internal KYC procedures and adherence to government regulatory requirements.
- Set up structure within KYC Refresh Team to manage KPIs and KRIs.
- Perform adverse media and PEP screening on customer and affiliated party names via World Check screening vendor.
- Disposition potential hits from screenings to determine if hits are true or can be disregarded as false positive.
- Liaise with front office staff to answer questions and provide guidance on any KYC Refresh related inquiries.
- Manage the KYC Refresh Teams group mailbox to ensure inquiries are assigned and handled in a timely manner.
- Provide KYC training to KYC Refresh staff to ensure policies and procedures are followed as well as general KYC knowledge is aligned with regulatory expectations and firm quality standards.
- Update KYC Refresh team desk procedures to align with firm policy changes and process updates as needed.
- Work with internal IT teams to help build efficiencies and enhancements into the KYC Refresh systems and processes.
- Escalate red flags identified via KYC review to firms internal AML team.
- Report production issues and questions related to client outreach to KYC Refresh Management team for expedited resolutions.
Qualifications:
To land this role you will need:
- 5+ years relevant work experience in KYC/AML. Work on KYC Periodic Review or New Customer Onboarding teams a plus.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion.
- Strong verbal/written communication abilities and effective interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of urgency.
- Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail.
- Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.
Education:
- A Bachelors degree from an accredited university.
Hiring Salary Range $125,000-$135,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.) Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan. This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
