Responsibilities:

Conduct weekly operational meetings with selected staff.

Oversee and direct field personnel through the Operations Manager and/or Project Managers, minimizing direct involvement with field personnel.

Oversee and participate in project buyouts by monitoring Project Managers to ensure competitive pricing (at least three quotes) on all subcontractors, materials, and rental purchases over $5,000.

Review and evaluate estimates created by the Estimating Department and/or Project Managers.

Coordinate transfer meetings with Estimating, Office Manager, and Project Managers.

Collaborate with ownership to prioritize projects and monitor the volume of work and progress of the construction schedule.

Oversee monthly Crew Chief meetings run by Operations, providing discussion points and feedback.

Manage a team of project managers to ensure projects adhere to expected timelines and budgets.

Conduct gross profit reviews twice a month (mid-month and month-end).

Approve all accounts payable invoices over $5,000.

Handle customer collections and billing.

Review, complete, and execute project contracts in accordance with division requirements.

Manage day-to-day client interactions and expectations for multiple projects.

Ensure customer and client satisfaction.

Assign all jobs to a Project Manager and ensure they maintain fiscal control.

Attend owner, customer, and contractor meetings as required.

Oversee new and existing subcontractor relations and effectively communicate project status between vendors, subcontractors, etc.

Review and evaluate construction change orders for validity and accuracy.

Ensure field personnel are trained and developed.

Oversee recruiting needs for the Construction Division.

Implement construction policies and procedures.

Financial Responsibilities:

Develop and manage division budgets for the Construction Department.

Provide detailed reports, including breakdowns of project costs and forecasts of remaining costs.

Assist in developing annual construction budgets and forecasts.

Document data and statistical procedures to provide cost analysis and reporting to assist ownership in decision-making or other financial initiatives.

Meet established production goals and maintain profitability.

Other Responsibilities:

Review and update weekly job cost reports on the status and progress of jobs, including project costs and potential changes.

Lead personnel with a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring safety guidelines are followed on all job sites.

Conduct periodic performance reviews with individuals within the Construction Division.

Contribute to building a positive team spirit and motivate staff.

Ensure employee compliance with all company policies.

Manage individual team members (office staff) with focus lists.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

7-10+ years of experience in construction management or a related field, with a significant portion of that time in a leadership or supervisory role.

Proven track record of managing multiple large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.

Experience in strategic planning and execution, including setting and achieving long-term goals.
