This rapidly growing California homebuilder is focused on repositioning underutilized real estate into residential housing in supply constrained coastal urban infill areas, as well as high demand suburban locations, is looking for a Director of Construction in the Bay Area.The organization is based in San Francisco and Irvine, California. It focuses on the construction of townhomes, condominiums, lofts, mixed use, live work and single family detached homes in the Southern and Northern California coastal urban infill neighborhoods. The company owns or controls over 10,000 lots across California. They have 25+ active projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.If you are a self-starter and love to oversee construction for ground-up development of residential projects throughout the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, then this is a great opportunity for you. The ideal applicant has 5+ years of experience, has great people skills, and can manage a variety of project tasks that range from fostering relationships with buyers, subcontractors, and internal teams, to accomplish a finished product that is acceptable to all parties concerned.- Liaison between the Corporate Operations Management Team and the Field personnel- Create schedules for job specific applications- Provide support to the Construction teams- Make personnel recommendations on project staffing- Work closely with all Customer Relations and Construction Managers to coordinate the home closeout protocol with a high degree of issue resolution and solving to ensure issues are not recurring- Work closely with Sales personnel and VP Sales to make sure both sales and construction teams are on the same page- Collaborate and project future closings with Corporate Leaders- Work with Customer Relations Director/VP to make sure construction and customer relations are working together and on the same page.- Walk construction site on a weekly basis to confirm homes are being built to standards- Work with Quality Assurance team to meet 3rd party standards- Help push closings, schedules, finals, basically anything needed to get the homes completed and closed.- Update weekly schedules for all Northern CA projects- Help review and submit Purchase Orders for the construction team- Conduct weekly team meetings with both onsite construction and sales teamsBase salary, with a bonus. Medical, dental, vision and supplemental insurance are available, FSA plans and a 401k with a 6% match. Ten days PTO, and 5 days sick pay.
