The Director of Corporate Development will participate in the entire M&A lifecycle, from initial strategy development and target identification to due diligence & valuation, and post-merger integration. This role requires a candidate with strategic thinking, strong financial acumen, and prior deal experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the company's M&A strategy aligned with overall corporate growth objectives.
- Identify and evaluate potential acquisition or merger targets, in collaboration with senior management and business units.
- Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, competitive dynamics, and potential risks or opportunities.
- Participate in the due diligence process by working across financial, legal, operation, and other departments,
- Analyze target company financials and perform valuation analysis (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions).
- Work closely with internal teams and external advisors to evaluate synergies, risks, and integration challenges.
- Work with legal and financial teams to draft, review, and finalize transaction agreements.
- Work with the CFO and M&A team in structuring purchase price, payment structure, and terms and conditions.
- Work with the target company's leadership, advisor and stakeholder for the favorable outcome.
- Prepare financial models to evaluate the impact of proposed deals on financial performance and shareholder value.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and the board for approval.
- Track and report on deal pipeline, progress, and post-transaction performance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, investment banking, or management consulting.
