Job DescriptionCole Haan's Director of Operations will partner with the VP Brand Design & Retail and will join a team who create global storytelling, experiences and consumer journey that bring our brand to life. The Director will integrate the Production and Creative Operations teams to leverage their collective capacities to define, refine, and employ formal processes to enable, amplify, and deliver the work of the Brand Design studio. The Director is an experienced creative leader who can set a shared vision and partner with Brand Design and Marketing colleagues to execute the broadest company strategies and the finest of details with equal excellence. The ideal candidate will be both a strategic thinker and technical expert who thrives in a fast-paced environment and will have previous experience executing successful global marketing campaigns. The Director will combine data-driven foresight, iterative development, a sense of the possible with the commitment to the highest quality of deliverables to ensure a positive return on investment and the translation of design into realities that speak to our customers. CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES: Drive and manage the Brand Design organization's seasonal planning, partnering across all design, marketing leadership and other cross functional teams to define and document key planning and execution milestones across all disciplinesDevelop and lead core Brand Design and Production initiative, project management practices that establish formal communication that is clear and often, in a timely, organized, and user-friendly manner, providing task status, delivery schedules, open issues, risks, and solution plans to senior leadership. This includes briefing and implementation into projects.Recalibrate Brand Design and Production project schedules from inception to completion, including resource planning & management, issues & risk management, monitoring progress, reporting & documentationCreate, maintain, and sharing out of the full brand marketing seasonal calendar, working across key brand marketing disciplines for creative brief writing, concept development, art direction, design/writing (web, video, print & social / paid media, and store signage for review, approval and delivery of assets to marketing)Lead development and rollout of Brand Design practices across the organization; drive continuous process improvement and seek ways to do things better, faster, and more efficientlyLead all project management of all external media / channel partner initiatives and creative production operationsOversight, development and monthly management of the Brand Design budget, in partnership with Marketing Team leadership and assist with monthly reconciliation process to ensure projects are on time and on budget.Own weekly Creative Status meeting and co-own weekly Marketing Status meetingReview, develop, implement and document technical and workflow processes within the studio to achieve new refinementsLead Brand Design's Studio Management functionsProactively research manufacturing methods and materials to consistently elevate our brand expression in retail and other physical experiencesDemonstrate continuous workflow optimization, leveraging all available software toolsContinually evolve knowledge of workflow best practices within the greater Production space Job RequirementsBFA/BA required preferably from a top-tier art school or creative major preferredMinimum of 10+ years combined experience leading Print Production and Creative Operations/Studio Management within a comparable in-house creative department, design studio, or creative agency. Retail/Fashion industry experience preferred; digital experience requiredExcellent verbal, written and technical communication skills enabling presentation of concepts and ideasExcellent understanding of digital design technologies with increasing knowledge of UX and motionWorking knowledge of color management; on-press color approval experience requiredExpert knowledge of Mac OS X, Google Apps, Microsoft Office, and/or Apple iWork, as well as Adobe Creative Cloud, with proven command of InDesign, Photoshop and IllustratorBase Salary Range: $170,000 - 190,000* annually + bonus potentialBonus Eligibility: Yes, eligible for annual target bonus based on company and individual performance Benefits Offered: Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Care, Health Savings Accounts, 401(k) Retirement Plan, Vacation Time, Sick Time, Paid Parental Leave, Holidays and Cole Haan Discounts *Rate of pay dependent upon candidates' relevant skills, experience, and locationThis position is not available to be performed in Colorado.
