We provide opportunities to work across our national network. dnata catering U.S. is looking for a Director of Culinaryto join our Corporate team located in White Plains, NY.POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Culinary to join our catering and inflight catering company. As the Director of Culinary, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing our culinary team to deliver exceptional food and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for training and mentoring the culinary team, setting expectations for quality and consistency, and implementing innovative cooking techniques and recipes to drive demand and lower food costs.dnata is one of the world's largest air services providers. Each day, the company handles over 1,900 flights, moves over 8,500 tons of cargo, books over 16,000 hotel stays, and uplifts over 320,000 meals.Direct and oversee the culinary development and training of the team, including food production, safe food handling, and meeting financial goals.Set expectations for the culinary staff to ensure quality and consistency, with the ultimate goal of delivering total customer satisfaction.Manage and direct customer presentations, ensuring that food and VIP profiles are followed by the kitchen staff.Implement innovative cooking techniques and recipes to drive demand and lower food costs.Provide the necessary tools and resources for smooth operations, including equipment needs, training materials, recipes, and timely communication.Manage food and labor costs relative to sales, and budget and forecast sales and costs for upcoming business periods.Establish and enforce safe food handling procedures, ensuring that kitchen and storage areas are clean and organized.Collaborate with the team to develop menus that meet customer expectations.Implement systems and procedures to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.Create synergies between front of house, back of house, and inflight teams to manage costs and exceed customer expectations.NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Other duties as assigned by management.This salary range and is influenced by the level of experience. When calculating the base pay, we take into account various factors such as location, qualifications, training, and experience as part of the overall compensation package. 90k - 179kEDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel/Restaurant Management, or a minimum of 10 years of industry experience in progressively complex culinary/restaurant positions. QUALIFICATIONS:Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Exceptional culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative and high-quality dishes.Strong project management skills to effectively oversee multiple initiatives and deadlines.Intellectual/Social demands:While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
