Director of Demand Planning, Outlet, and Inventory Management The Americas

Overview: Oversee Demand Planning, Outlet, and End of Product Lifecycle sales, stock management, and allocation across all categories (Women s, Men s and LGs) for Retail America s. This position reports into the VP of Buying and Planning.

Responsibilities:

Permanent Demand and Inventory Product Planning

  • Oversee permanent product assortment matrix by style by store & build/propose exit strategy for discontinued products
  • Help to guide permanent planner in building optimal model stocks by store to fulfill sales demand (including OMS functionalities), reviewing and revising regularly making sure stock coverage target is met.
  • Drive monthly sales demand forecast by style in conjunction with Paris corporate team as we transition into predictive sales forecasting methodology with the goal to meet sales forecasts accuracy targets. Perform root cause analysis on main variances and share learnings to central planning teams, in order to help to continuously improve the tools efficiency.
  • Analyze & monitor inventory Month of Sales down to the style level, communicating to Paris corporate inventory sales needs and inventory risks. Propose corrective action plan to maximize sales and optimize stock coverage.
  • Support sales forecasting from both a top down and bottoms-up approach in permanent product for sales planning 4 x a year.
  • Oversee weekly allocation of product and monthly rebalances to support sales and inventory efficiencies while monitoring store capacities, as the process transitions from Push to Pull flow
  • Work on FSS exit strategy on non-productive inventory to maximize sales productivity. Partner with finance on resulting product provision. Share projected stock coverage and mid-term action plan.
  • Analyze, review, and build concise reporting to understanding trends, opportunities, and liabilities and initiate / evaluate corrective action to positively effect KPI performance metrics

Outlet & End of Product Life Cycle Product Planning

  • Manage end of regular price product life cycle stock movements to Outlet, Sample Sale, or Recycled and present to upper management resulting inventory levels and financial risks
  • Oversee assortment, allocation, pricing, and stock levels by store for Outlet
  • Monitor and oversee outlet model stock by store
  • Support team in allocating, pricing, and curating Sample Sale inventory 3 x a year
  • Make regular assessment of the allocation tool and propose regular enhancements to gain time and efficiency
  • Monitor aged product and Outlet Month of Sales to ensure future inventory needs to hit sales targets and mitigate aged stock liability
  • Oversee execution of sale implementation and pricing strategy in Outlet channels
  • Identify and support initiatives towards sustainability within the product lifecycle

Inventory Management

  • Work closely with Finance to align on provisions estimate, risks matrix
  • Work closely with Logistic team and share forecasts on stocks movements plan, inventory levels in order for finance to anticipate warehousing workload & space, transport budget
  • Partner with wholesale team to tackle stock optimization opportunities & risks
  • Deliver a 360 inventory situation (current inventory and future forecasts)
  • Propose stock management and localization optimization in the Americas

Planning Supply Chain IT/System Input

  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of the planning tools thru regular enhancements requests and IT roadmap priorities alignment with Global Supply chain planning team
  • Ensure the right coverage of the Americas needs, specificities and constrains in the worldwide Supply chain planning transformation
  • Conduct the change management in the teams to ensure adoption & efficiency of the tools
  • Co-build the AI-driven planning tools with Central teams and peers in other regions

Excel Proficiency

  • Create, maintain, and improve Excel templates to analyze the business and develop strategic business decisions
  • Excellent proficiency in excel, able to build user friendly spreadsheets for efficiency. V-Lookups, X-Lookups, Pivot Tables, and macro strongly suggested skill set.

Team Development

  • Ensure high performance standards through coaching, training, and development. Perform ongoing talent assessments.
  • Provide leadership and guidance. Develop team members skills and ensure goals are achieved.
  • Participates in company activities and helps to support and develop a team environment.
  • Participates in fostering job satisfaction and positive morale for multiple direct reports.
  • Systems and process training.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree required
  • 10+ years of experience in planning, finance experience a plus, APICS CPIM is a plus
  • Proficient in all of Microsoft Office/Suite
  • Preferred Anaplan and Cegid experience
  • Ability to excel in a cross-functional and collaborative environment.
  • Passion for Christian Louboutin and a true ambassador for the brand with strong sense of responsibility
  • Ideal candidate has work experience in medium sized multinational company or luxury business
  • Additional language fluency is a plus

In accordance with the New York City Commission on Human Rights and in compliance with the Salary Transparency Law, Christian Louboutin envisions the general compensation range for this position to be $145K- $165k per YEAR *This range is NOT inclusive of other forms of compensation or benefits such as commissions, overtime, discretionary bonus, health insurance, retirement savings or paid leaves of absence.
