Role:

We're seeking an innovative Director of Digital Design to lead our digital design team in creating stunning visual experiences that showcase our makeup brand's products and story. You'll oversee the development of our digital design strategy, leading the design of our website, social media, email marketing, and e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and collaborative team leader with multi-disciplinary skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Digital Design Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive digital design strategy aligned with our brand's goals and vision. Lead design strategy for .com that generates revenue growth and stays aware of pop culture, fashion, and industry trends to ensure all new ideation and designs are relevant and on-trend.
• Team Management: Ensure internal team alignment before presenting creative work, reviewing to verify the accuracy of the ask, on-brand creative alignment, and optimizing design efforts.
• Design Direction: Set the design direction for our digital platforms, ensuring consistency and excellence across all touchpoints. Own the execution of assets with a 360-degree approach across all communication channels, not limited to new product launches, evergreen campaigns, and out-of-home advertising.
• UX/UI Design: Oversee the design of user-centered, intuitive, and visually appealing digital experiences. Set the tone for UX principles and UI design standards through execution and operational excellence. Help develop OKRs for the site design team and clear KPIs for the site and new feature launches.
• Brand Identity: Ensure our digital design aligns with our brand's identity, tone, and voice.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, e-commerce, and product development. Work with Creative Ops to estimate hours, assign creative team members best suited for each project based on ability and workload, and manage workloads to maximize productivity.
• Trend Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest digital design trends, technologies, and best practices.

Must Haves:

• 8+ years of experience in digital design leadership roles
• Portfolio showcasing your expertise in digital design, UX/UI, and team management.
• Excellence in video editing, After Effects and/or Adobe Premiere.
• Program knowledge: Figma, After Effects or Adobe Premiere, Adobe Suite, Google Drive, Asana, Sketch
• Strong understanding of design principles, human-centered design, and digital technologies.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in the beauty or cosmetics industry (preferred).

Nice to Have:

• Design degree or relevant certification.
• Knowledge of front-end development and HTML/CSS.
• Startup experience, especially in the beauty industry
