In this role you will oversee and control day to day operations of all dining services operations at the community.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Dining Services to join our team in Egg Harbor Township, United States. As the leader of our dining operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service, ensuring exceptional quality, and creating memorable dining experiences for our residents.Develop and implement innovative dining programs that align with our organization's goals and resident preferencesManage and mentor a team of dining staff, fostering a collaborative and customer-focused environmentOversee menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery to maintain high standards of quality and presentationEnsure compliance with all food safety regulations, health codes, and organizational policiesManage department budgets, control costs, and optimize operational efficiencyCollaborate with other departments to enhance overall resident satisfaction and well-beingConduct regular quality assessments and implement improvements based on feedback and industry trendsOversee purchasing and inventory management for all food and non-food itemsDevelop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectivenessLead staff training initiatives to enhance skills and maintain service standardsRespond promptly and professionally to resident inquiries and concerns regarding dining servicesQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a senior living or healthcare settingBachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field preferredServSafe certification and any other required local, county, or state food safety certificationsProven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse teamStrong financial acumen, including experience in budget management and cost controlExcellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectivelyDemonstrated knowledge of food safety regulations, health codes, and nutritional guidelinesProficiency in menu planning and ability to accommodate various dietary needsStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, staff, and vendorsCustomer-focused mindset with a commitment to creating exceptional dining experiencesAbility to adapt quickly to changing priorities and handle high-pressure situationsProficiency in using computer systems for inventory management, scheduling, and reportingCreative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvementFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as neededAdditional InformationSenior Lifestyle offers a comprehensive benefits plan to eligible team members including health, dental, vision, retirement benefits, short-term disability, long-term disability, and paid time off.
