DescriptionThe West Division General Manager (DGM) is a senior member of the Wood Products Distribution organization and reports to the Vice President of Distribution. The west division is comprised of five areas encompassing 10 distribution sites across six states (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Arizona, and Utah). The West DGM will directly lead the management team who oversee sales representatives, operations, design services, and inventory/replenishment associates.Key Areas of Focus:Personally engage in safety programs to protect the health and welfare of our peopleUtilize leadership skills, business acumen and market knowledge to drive results in people, profits and performanceCultivate strong relationships with key customers and vendorsChampion operational excellence work that continuously improves our businessContribute to strategy setting and engage the organization to deliver on strategic goalsWe have over 48,000 SKUs from over 300 suppliers of structural framing materials and specialty building products for residential, multi-family and light commercial markets. We'll get you what you need, when you need it.Our experienced operations team with over 40 LEAN greenbelts provides a safe and efficient delivery service. About our Wood Products Business We manufacture and sell an innovative collection of proven structural framing materials to the residential, multi-family and light commercial markets, and also provide seamless building solutions, from design to installation to support. This team moves fast, works smart and never stops pushing to be and stay number one in the industry.Qualifications10+ years wood products sales management experience (or equivalent)Bachelor's degree, strongly preferredMust live or be willing to relocate to the Western US with airport access to markets served by our businessAbility to travel at least 50%Demonstrated results in safety excellenceExcellent business and financial acumen, including business drivers and leverage pointsDemonstrated ability to lead other leaders and a track record of developing the capabilities of others and increasing bench strengthRole model Weyerhaeuser People Principles and demonstrate core valuesExperienced sales leader responsible for the development of sales programs and maintaining/developing key customer relationships. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 35% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target. This position is eligible to be nominated for an annual long term incentive grant as well. The grant guideline for this position is $90,000, with a range of zero to 150% of the guideline amount. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use.
