About the Company Bear Down Brands is a network of consumer brands that each focus on premium home, health, and personal care products. It is our mission to create elevated wellness essentials that enhance the way you care for yourself and the world around you. We are looking for a growth-oriented Director of Ecommerce Advertising for our 4 brands - Pure Enrichment, Bentgo, Brusheez, and Verilux. This candidate will be responsible for planning and executing our ecommerce advertising strategy across Amazon, retail.coms, and our DTC websites. This candidate will analyze data and keyword-level analytics to create a cohesive advertising plan that achieves high return on ad spend (ROAS) and revenue targets for each of our 4 brands. This person will collaborate closely with our Amazon, DTC, Retail Sales and Marketing teams to ensure all advertising efforts are aligned. They will report directly to the Sr. Director of Ecommerce and manage a small in-house advertising team with 1-2 direct reports. Core Responsibilities:
- Amazon, DTC, & Retail.com Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a traffic generation strategy to increase paid traffic to our products on Amazon, retail.com, and our DTC websites
- Own advertising budget and allocate spend appropriately across channels and product categories based on revenue targets and ROAS/TACoS goal
- Conduct keyword research and develop targeting strategies that meet customers at each phase of the shopping journey
- Identify ways to spend most efficiently to meet or exceed ROAS targets and paid revenue goals by A/B testing tactics and creatives
- Present weekly and monthly advertising reporting with a focus on KPI targeting and trend analysis to Executive Management Team
- Partner closely with creative, SEO, and content teams to ensure a collaborative approach to digital marketing to drive collective success across channels.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Amazon + DTC advertising trends and best practices to ensure campaigns are leveraging the latest features and opportunities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team (consisting of full-time employees and part-time freelancers) to ensure all advertising channels are fully optimized for maximum impact
- Amazon Specific Responsibilities:
- Drive and execute the overarching ad strategy for a 8-figure advertising budget, optimizing and scaling campaigns for one of Amazon's leading sellers
- Create, manage, and optimize Amazon Advertising campaigns to drive traffic, increase sales, and maximize ACoS
- Collaborate with Amazon Advertising partners to execute a strong DSP/programmatic advertising strategy for new customer acquisition and retargeting
- Use automated bid tool to manage and adjust bids, budgets, and targeting settings to ensure campaigns are meeting performance goals
- Analyze campaign performance data and provide insights and recommendations to improve campaign performance
- Lead advertising on Amazon Canada and potential future international Amazon marketplaces
- DTC & Retail.com Specific Responsibilities:
- Manage DTC Search Ads (Google & Bing) and Social Ads (Meta & TikTok) to drive traffic to pureenrichment.com, bentgo.com and verilux.com
- Collaborate with Marketing Director of Ecommerce-DTC and Marketing Team to develop and optimize ad content and creatives to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels
- Manage Walmart Marketplace Advertising campaigns using a bid platform (currently Teikametrics) to drive traffic and increase product exposure on Walmart.com
- Launch and manage paid ads on third party websites like Target.com and Costo.com using a bid platform (currently citrus ads)
Skills & Minimum Qualifications
- At least 5-7 years in digital paid advertising with a deep expertise in both DTC and Amazon. As an Amazon-first company, an Amazon Advertising rockstar is a must.
- Proven recent success leading Amazon Advertising strategy utilizing Sponsored Product, Sponsored Brand, Sponsored Display, DSP, OTT, and OLV campaigns while maintaining TACoS Goals
- Proficient in Google Ads, Bing Ads, Meta, Google Analytics; Strong understanding of analytics and reporting/bid platforms
- Excellent organizational skills and strong ability to collect and analyze keyword and campaign data to make informed decisions that lead to performance optimizations
- Experience working with a bid management tool - Xmars preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly explain strategy, execution, and results to leadership
- Ability to manage a team and delegate tasks accordingly

Salary Range $150,000 - $180,000 DOE Actual base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and relevant job & industry experience. Location: Position is open to local or remote candidates. Local candidates will work a hybrid schedule with one day / week in office at our Santa Ana, CA headquarters.
