  • Reports To: VP of EngineeringPosition Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Engineering to lead our fabrication engineering team. This role is pivotal in driving innovation and operational excellence across our key fabrication processes, including welding, brake press forming, robotics, and laser cutting. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in these areas and have a proven track record in engineering leadership.Key Responsibilities:
    • Serve as the subject matter expert in fabrication processes, providing technical guidance and strategic direction to the engineering team.
    • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of advanced fabrication technologies and methodologies.
    • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of engineering initiatives with overall business objectives.
    • Manage projects from conception through execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
    • Drive the adoption of best practices and industry standards in fabrication engineering.
    • Analyze and optimize fabrication processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Represent the engineering team in senior management discussions, providing insights and recommendations on strategic initiatives.
    • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
    Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 20 years of experience in fabrication engineering, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
    • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in welding, brake press forming, robotics, and laser cutting.
    • Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
