It is our mission to seek out and develop employees with exceptional ability. We are currently seeking a Director of Engineering to provide oversight and mentorship to the engineering team across all manufacturing functions. Are you a dynamic, change agent? If so, this position could be for you.

Responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:

* Manage all aspects of plant manufacturing engineering including process development and control, cost estimates, routing and planning for new product development, methods development, plant improvement and cost reduction.

* Measure and provide supporting data on cost saving programs to not exceed budget. Develop and deploy programming, work holding and tooling strategies for capital equipment to achieve utilization and cost targets.

* Manage and identify projects working together with the Plant Manager and team managers to significantly improve Delivery, Quality, Cost and Service in every aspect of our business.

* Prioritize projects based on impact to division and ease of implementation.

* Support of Lean and continuous improvement of all processes related to the engineering team.

* Support plant wide culture of continuous improvement methodologies.

* Determine make or buy designations for new and existing components.

* Oversee and launch new products lines and development.

* Lead problem-solving teams to determine true root cause with permanent deployed solutions.

* Take a self-directed approach to improving manufacturing operations and product flow.

* Recruit, develop and retain top engineering talent, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Include:

* Tier 1 Automotive Experience

* Prior Die Casting experience

* Experience in tools and systems including Control Plans, FMEA, Quality Containment, CAPEX Planning, Management of ECN Process, Root Cause Analysis and ISO 9001

* Experience leading an engineering team in a complex environment

* Experience with Lean/Kaizen/Six Sigma and TQM systems
