Description Purpose of the Role and Scope of Responsibility: Under the general direction of the Vice President of Finance and Administration (VP), provides leadership and vision to the Enrollment Management team to increase and grow student enrollment, achieve maximum growth, and generate revenue in all Ranken's programs.
  • Oversees Ranken's sales, recruitment, and enrollment activities.
  • Participates with other Ranken staff for pipeline development. Ensures that continued effort is directed to increasing student enrollment to achieve maximum growth.
  • Reviews and approves short and long-range student recruitment objectives and goals to ensure enrollment efforts are designed to fill classes and generate revenue.
  • Identifies target markets and develops recruitment strategies and best practices to meet sales goals and objectives.
  • Collects and analyzes enrollment data to identify trends, successes, follow-up opportunities, and areas for targeted attention to increase sales for all Ranken programs at all for Ranken's locations.
  • Works with the Admission team on strategies to generate leads and close sales.
  • Accompanies and observes Admissions Counselors on high school and corporate visits and provides feedback and guidance on presentations to improve performance.
  • Provides development opportunities to staff on sales techniques appropriate to the audience; e.g., high school students, second career students, veteran students, workforce development students, etc.
  • Provides sales tools to ensure support of recruiting efforts and events.
  • Ensures Admissions Counselors are selling day school, evening school, and industrial training programs for all technical areas of the College: Automotive, Construction, Electrical, IT, Manufacturing, BSAM, and Workforce Development.
  • Works with department chairs and faculty to ensure thorough knowledge of each of Ranken's programs. Provides opportunities for Admissions Counselors to work with faculty in order to become more knowledgeable on these programs.
  • Maintains a strict confidentiality policy regarding student information in conjunction with FERPA and other laws.
  • Ensures excellence in hiring, coaching, and evaluating staff; establishes best practices, quantifiable objectives, and development opportunities to ensure highly-qualified staff who provide quality recruiting efforts, accurate data, support, and customer service to students, potential students, parents, faculty, staff, and other business partners.
  • Develops and tracks department budgets, fostering economy; authorizes expenditures.
  • Participates in college governance, committee work, student advising, etc.
  • Effectively communicates and implements Ranken policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Fosters a positive, open, team environment. Seeks ideas and solutions. Demonstrates commitment to diversity. Values and supports differences.
  • Completes special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:Knowledge/Education - Bachelor's degree in appropriate major or equivalent experience. Knowledge of the current higher education industry is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of effective sales techniques including closing the sale. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Must have vision, sound judgment, and be innovative, organized, and decisive. Must have a strong work ethic and be highly self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage resources and develop budgets. Ability to maintain confidentiality and have working knowledge of FERPA and other applicable laws. Working knowledge of Sales Force.Experience - Eight to ten years of progressively increasing responsibilities within the education field. Experience working with students and student records in a confidential setting. Experience working in a team-based environment. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience including effective skills to hire, train, and motivate staff and coordinate the efforts of others throughout the College.NOTE - Some evening and/or weekend hours will be required to participate in College functions.
