The role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary National Director of Expansion to lead our strategic growth initiatives and oversee the development and execution of our expansion efforts across the United States. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in scaling operations to ensure successful expansion and increased impact. The position will be responsible for scaling production kitchen facilities, managing tens of millions of dollars in capital expenditure (CapEx), and executing large commercial real estate deals.

Responsibilities:

National Expansion Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive national expansion strategy to increase our presence and impact across the United States.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and potential partners in various regions.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and execute large commercial real estate deals to support expansion efforts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, government officials, and potential partners across the country.
  • Oversee the site selection process, ensuring new locations align with our strategic goals.
  • Lead the planning and execution of new site launches, including budget management, staffing, and logistics.
  • Scale production kitchen facilities to meet growing demand and operational needs.
  • Manage tens of millions of dollars in CapEx, ensuring effective allocation and utilization of resources.
  • Track and report on expansion progress to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in organizational expansion, including a proven track record of successfully expanding a startup company.
  • Extensive experience in evaluating, negotiating, and executing large commercial real estate deals.
  • Proven experience in scaling production facilities and managing significant CapEx budgets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of the nonprofit landscape and community needs across various regions is highly desirable.
  • Expert on food processing and manufacturing operations, dual-sided marketplace platforms, and/or large-scale food production businesses (e.g., hotels, airports, hospitals, schools).
  • Deep understanding of planning and scaling the physical footprint of complex business operations using data-driven models.

Compensation All final pay rates will be determined by candidates experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Pay Range for this position

$150,000$200,000 USD
