We are a family-owned business that currently operates 30 beautiful ceremony, reception and special event venues across Texas and Georgia. OVERVIEW We are looking for an experienced Facilities Director to oversee and coordinate daily operations of the facilities department and staff. Manage and coordinate the proper maintenance by scheduling and managing routine maintenance on all building systems (fire sprinkler/alarm, HVAC, elevators, electronic locks, etc.) and developing a preventative maintenance program. SALARY Salary range is between $ 75,000 - $ 95,000 depending on experience REQUIREMENTSLocation: Austin, TX Hours: Full-Time Experience:
  • 5-7 years of experience managing a portfolio of similar size
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air conditioning, fire/life safety systems and kitchen equipment
  • General knowledge of all construction phases and local building and safety codes
  • Able to read blueprints
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a variety of teams (contractors, facilities personnel, sales/operations staff, etc.)
  • Strong background in project management, building management systems and work order software
  • Strong organizational skills
Education: College Degree or Applicable Work History Physical: Able to lift 15 lbs frequently, stand/walk 8-12 hours Other: Submit to a background and drug test, have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Creating and monitoring each property's maintenance budget
  • Scheduling and managing routine maintenance on all building systems (fire sprinkler/alarm, HVAC, elevators, electronic locks, etc.) and developing a preventative maintenance program
  • Scheduling and managing emergency repairs as issues arise
  • Mitigating risk and overseeing safety and security for team members and guests
  • Visiting and inspecting each facility routinely to identify issues, and preparing reports for facilities managers and operations teams
  • Developing and deploying a work order software system
  • Negotiating contracts with contractors and service providers, leveraging Walters's size to build relationships with vendors
  • Overseeing all contractors that work with each facility
  • Ensuring the facility complies with relevant laws, regulations and safety standards
  • Preparing facilities for natural disasters and emergencies, and handling insurance claims in the event of a covered loss
  • Planning and overseeing energy/water efficiency efforts
  • Cataloging and tracking company assets, including vehicles, equipment and technology resources
  • Maintaining as-built drawings and service/warranty records for all properties and assets
  • Effectively communicating issues and project status with entire team
  • Handling long-range planning to support future needs and growth
  • Helping with plans for renovations, additions or new buildings, with a focus on future serviceability and building lifespan
  • Collaborating with construction/business development teams to ensure maintenance issues can be minimized on new projects
  • Available for emergency situations, understanding hospitality and a weekend business
