The Director of Facilities will be responsible for ensuring FOSS pools, pump rooms, and school facilities are in good working order and a maintenance schedule is created and executed. In addition, FOSS is rapidly expanding in current and new markets, and this position will be a strategic partner supporting the timely execution of new school openings through school set up and ensuring Facility team members are hired and trained for school maintenance support. Job Responsibilities Facility Oversight
- Manage vendors and contracted services.
- Procure necessary parts and equipment to maximize building equipment efficiency.
- Minimize downtime of equipment through spare parts management
- Lead District Facility Managers and/or Facility Maintenance Techs
Facility Compliance
- Manage asset tracking and effectiveness.
- Lead/organize facility-based training for the market.
- Manage CAPEX and departmental budget.
- Provide input and assist in building out departmental best practices.
- Identify and build out process efficiencies.
Facility Projects
- Manage high level projects as needed.
Requirements Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in facility management
- 3+ years leading teams
- Bachelor's degree
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) - optional
- Vendor management experience
- Regional multi-unit experience
- Strong verbal and communication skills with the ability to effectively present ideas to facilities team and vendors
- Ability to collaborate with others to identify and solve issues or make proactive recommendations and lead through influence
Working Conditions (if applicable)
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25-50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Review documents, blueprints, computer monitors or displays with potentially small print.
- Operate a computer, phone and other common office tools or controls.
- Mentally focus on tasks and apply sound reasoning and judgement.
- Work in an indoor pool facility that could be humid and damp.
