Winchester Gardens is seeking a Director of Facilities Management to join our team!Winchester Gardens is a Springpoint Senior Living community located in Maplewood, NJ. We are seeking a Full-Time Director of Facilities Management to join our team. At Springpoint, our Director of Facilities Management's primary purpose is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Maintenance, Grounds, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Security Services in accordance with the current local, state and federal standards, guidelines, as well as regulations that govern Springpoint Senior Living, Inc. (SSL) and as directed by the Executive Director.Responsibilities:
- Oversight of all facility related departments and serves on the Executive Director's leadership team.
- Ensure all compliance and life safety requirements are properly managed and documented, supporting ED and Administrator during inspections.
- Participate in Community surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
- Review and develop a plan of correction for facility program deficiencies noted during survey inspections and provide a written copy of such to the Administrator and Executive Director.
- Oversight of work order related systems, ensuring the system is properly utilized to incorporate standards and that supervisors are managing work orders, preventative maintenance and scheduling objectives.
- Participates in the Manager on Duty schedule
- Oversees Risk Control and Safety:
- Acts as Risk Management Coordinator/Safety Officer.
- Identifies, evaluates, and manages risks that the company could face.
- Responsible for developing and implementing risk management policies and procedures, and for ensuring that the company is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Participates in all life safety and emergency drills and training. Fulfills responsibilities as assigned during implementation or activation of the facility's emergency plan.
- Coordinating Risk Control with our local insurance vendor.
- Work with insurance vendor for the annual Risk Assessment.
- Act as Safety Coordinator, providing training for staff as it relates to safety.
- Chairs the Community Safety Committee.
- Coordinates required drills (fire, elopement, disaster, etc.)
- Supervises the completion of unit turnover as follows:
- In cooperation with the Director of Sales & Marketing and the Corporate Director of Project Planning & Facilities Management, review the scope of work to be completed and properly identify the responsible payer source (SSL or client).
- Review budgets, cost estimates, schedules, and timelines (normally 90-120 days, while also properly identifying assigned costs to SSL and its client
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare facilities operations.

Pay Rate: $95,000 -$99,000/ year
