About the Company: Our client is a business-building and investment platform of a very prominent investor. This firm was founded in 2018, works with entrepreneurs to co-found and build new ventures while also deploying its best-in-class team to partner with entrepreneurs and management teams, to back sustainable, growing companies across broad consumer platforms and help them build value with values. In addition to its growth equity platform, our client also manages a portfolio of liquid and illiquid assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver accurate monthly and quarterly investment performance reports in the form of presentations, performance dashboards, and other visual tools.
  • Prepare rolling forecasts and detailed cash flow/liquidity planning analyses on a consolidated basis for multiple business units.
  • Ensure alignment of assumptions for forecasting and analysis throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Investment Team to select appropriate performance benchmarks.
  • Analyze, prepare and present succinct variance analysis based on actual results to historical results and benchmarks.
  • Prepare Investment Committee materials and ad hoc reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Develop dashboards and flash reporting to communicate financial insights.
  • Implement and maintain financial planning systems, including configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and budgeting activities.
  • Identify areas for process improvement, establish efficiencies, and streamline existing reporting and analytics.

Annual Operating Budget:

  • Develop the annual operating budget in collaboration with functional business teams.
  • Prepare and analyze G&A expense trends on a monthly and quarterly basis and create reporting that is user-friendly to functional owners.
  • Meet with functional teams quarterly to review expenditures in relation to the budget and identify opportunities for savings and efficiencies.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses as needed.

Strategic Planning:

  • In collaboration with the Investment Team, maintain the Company s long-range plan / long-term performance model.
  • Participate in cross-functional and special projects aimed at enhancing financial analytics and driving strategic decision-making across the organization.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree, with concentrations in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • 7-12 years of relevant work experience with at least 3+ years working directly on reporting/financial planning and analysis at a mid to large family office or other investment management firm or financial institution.
  • Knowledge and curiosity in investment concepts, practices, procedures, management operations, reporting, and data analysis.
  • A strong understanding of financial markets within all asset classes.
  • A conceptual and practical understanding of various performance metrics, risk analytics, benchmarking, and asset allocation.
  • Solid analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written and the ability to put together sophisticated, informative presentations with minimal direction and oversight.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines; execute responsibilities with a sense of urgency and follow-through.
  • Proficient in financial software systems and MS Excel; experience with Addepar and data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, responsive, and accurate.
  • Team oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
