Position Purpose:

The Director of Finance will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of Rosecrance. This position is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. The Director of Finance will collaborate with executive leadership to provide strategic insights that drive business growth, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the long-term financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Lead a team of finance professionals.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and financial institutions.
  • Identify cost-saving and revenue opportunities.
  • Oversee all accounting responsibilities, including the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.
  • Review current financial processes and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure efficient and reliable financial systems.
  • Create new systems and processes utilizing technological resources.
  • Provide direction to the finance team and establish performance metrics.
  • Advise leadership on financial planning and budgeting.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual budget.
  • Manage the treasury function and cash flow forecasts.
  • Develop strategies for investing excess funds.
  • Track the performance of investment assets.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Code of Ethics.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Serve as a role model for staff and demonstrate positive guest relations.
  • Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field required.
  • Possess a valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license.
  • Extensive accounting experience in for-profit and non-profit organizations, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to supervise a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Competence in using ERP software and common computer applications.
  • Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance.

Work Location:

Rosecrance - Chicago, ILOnsite or Remote (must live in WI, IL, or IA)
