POSITION NO: 101010 POSITION Due to an internal promotion, MCC is seeking a Director of Financial Aid NATURE OF POSITION Exempt Administrative (260 days), 1.0 FTE ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP The Director of Financial Aid reports to the Vice-President of Student Services and supervises financial aid staff. PURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB: The Director of Financial Aid is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the financial aid department. In accordance with 34 CFR 668.16(b)(1), the Financial Aid Director is responsible for the administration of all Title IV, HEA programs in which Morgan Community College participates and for coordinating those programs with state and institutional programs of student financial assistance. The Director of Financial Aid is accountable for leadership, oversight, coordination and assessment of all fiscal, human resource, and other related projects within the Financial Aid Office. This role oversees the fiduciary accountability of the institution as it relates to all matters impacting Title IV compliance. The Director of Financial Aid ensures timely and accurate submission of all major reports associated with maintaining financial aid compliance and eligibility, including: audit responses, updates to the Eligibility and Certification Approval Report (ECAR), Program Participation Agreement (PPA), annual Fiscal Operations Report and Application to Participate (FISAP), the financial aid sections of the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), Colorado's Student Unit Record Data System (SURDS) report, along with other mandatory state grant expenditure reports. For information about MCC, see the college web site: www.morgancc.edu REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: •Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution •5 years progressively responsible professional experience in financial aid •Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills •Strong customer service skills •Strong commitment to student services •Strong commitment to fiscal accountability •Detail and task oriented with the ability to coordinate several concurrent projects and bring to completion by established deadlines •Familiarity with Federal Title IV and state rules and regulations related to financial aid •Proficiency in Windows, Excel, Microsoft Office, and other industry related software •Ability to pass a background check that includes fingerprinting •Ability to work long and irregular hours as necessary •Ability to travel as necessary to carry out job duties PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: •Master's Degree from an accredited institution •Ellucian Banner experience •Community college experience Anticipated Start Date: December 1, 2024 Salary and Benefits: $69,200 - $79,580 (Director II) annually, based on education, skills and experience.
