The Support Services functions at S:US are carried out by a team of professionals with differing backgrounds who share deeply in the S:US mission. The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Department is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and reliable individual to join our FP&A Team as a Director. The selected candidate will report to the CFO and will be responsible for annual budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and overseeing work of the FP&A team.

Job Requirements:Creation and monitoring of the annual budget
  • Drive and be the principal contributor to the annual budgeting process.
  • Present budgets to the leadership and aid in budget presentation to the board/finance committee.
  • Prepare and present budget variance for all non-grant programs.
  • Cash Flows
  • Monitor cash flows and ensure accurate daily reporting to all stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly cash flow projections and present variance from projected cash flows.
  • Reporting and Analysis
  • Present monthly financials to the executive and divisional leadership.
  • Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring financial information has been recorded accurately.
  • Develop and manage reports using platforms like Adaptive Insights and Office Connect.
  • Ad-hoc
  • Develop financial models and business plans as needed.
  • Assist CFO in managing key projects like position control, FTE reporting.
  • Delegate and oversee work of the team.
  • KEY PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
  • Accountability – Set goals and expectations for the team. Monitor and ensure each team member works toward achieving those goals and expectations.
  • Mentoring – Ability to mentor and train team members.
  • Business Acumen – Ability to comprehend business need of a project, and present data-driven solutions to the leadership.
  • Financial Analysis skills – Knowledge of analyzing financial statements, and preparing budgets, forecasts and business plans.
  • Data Analytics skills – Proficiency in working with large datasets and ability to analyze, summarize, and present data findings.
  • Communication skills – Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with staff and managers of all levels throughout the organization.

    The salary range for this position is $190,000 - $210,000 per annum, in accordance with NYC pay transparency laws.
