Lakefield Veterinary Group is looking for a Director of FP&A responsible for leading core FP&A/treasury cycles, supporting M&A, and partnering closely with the CFO to drive company strategy. This person will work closely with corporate and field leadership to help manage and drive the growth of the business. The successful candidate will be a builder with a growth mindset, helping to drive organic and inorganic growth initiatives at Lakefield. Key Responsibilities:
- Advise the CEO, CFO and Owner on business strategy
- Lead the development and execution of core FP&A cycles:
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Long-Range Planning
- Monthly and quarterly management reporting/business reviews
- Board and Lender reporting
- Partner with senior management on strategic growth and operational improvement initiatives
- Create and maintain financial models that help to deliver insight on financial performance and impact of strategic initiatives
- Provide financial leadership to Hospital Administrators that are responsible for hospital business management, including hospital (4 wall) P&L management
- Work closely with the CFO and Controller on core Treasury cycles, including:
- Cash forecasting
- Lender compliance
- Capital allocation
- Refinancing
- Partner with IT and Field Leadership on enhancing real-time BI tools/dashboards
- Partner with the Business Development team on M&A, with responsibilities for valuation modeling and financial due diligence
- Strengthen the financial reporting platforms to support the growth/scaling of the business
- Partner with the CFO on Board, Lender and Field communication
- Grow and develop the FP&A team
- Drive pricing analytics that inform pricing decisions for services provided by hospitals Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of progressive FP&A leadership experience
- Ability to grow/develop relationships with the Executive Team, cross-functional corporate teams, Doctors of Veterinary Medicine, hospital administrators and Field Leadership
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
- Expert in Excel modeling and Power BI
- Understanding of M&A valuation and financial due diligence
- Ability to grow, develop and retain a high-performing FP&A team
- Experience with cash forecasting, liquidity management and capital allocation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and can effectively communicate complex financial concepts to a broad range of audiences
- Experience with multi-site management a plus
- Good program management and change management skills - working in a very agile environment with a quick turnaround
- Experience with working with Lenders a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA a plus. Pay: $175,000 to $195,000
