Description
The Arc Mid-Hudson has a new full-time opportunity on our Finance Team for a Director of Financial Reporting.
Responsibilities for this role will include, but not be limited to:
+ Oversee and manage the monthly closing process, including general ledger review, journal preparations, analysis and reconciliation of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.
+ Develop and present monthly financial reports and comparative analyses to the management team and relevant committees as requested.
+ Develop ad hoc reports for various analysis or inquiries from time to time.
+ Develop and review the monthly budget-to-actual and cash flow reports for internal management.
+ Analysis and projection of rates by funding source on a quarterly basis, discussing trends and appropriate spending plans necessary to maximize funding.
+ Ensure the creation of appropriate methodology for allocating costs across programs and support services.
+ Ensure timely filing of all quarterly reports to NYS and or Counties to maintain proper funding of contracts.
+ Manage the coordination of the annual audit process, facilitating access to documentation and staff as needed.
+ Manage and assist in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and analyses for auditors.
+ Respond to audit findings, creating corrective actions plans if needed. Oversee presentation to the Board and ensure their approval of annual audit.
+ Work with external accountants to prepare and present Form 990 to Board and management as needed.
+ Ensure approval and timely filing of all necessary reporting to state and local funding, ensuring appropriate reimbursement levels
HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday - days
STARTING SALARY: $ 80,000 to $ 95,000 per year
Minimum Requirements
+ BA/BS Degree in Finance/Accounting or a commensurate level of directly related experience
+ 7+ years' experience in related field
+ Demonstrated leadership capacity and skill
+ Familiarity and proficiency with financial reports, including but not limited to, Balance Sheet, Statement of Functional Expense, Statement of Activities, and Cash Flow Statement and spreadsheets required
+ Familiarity with NYS reporting including OPWDD and NYSED
+ Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
+ Collaborative, hands-on style with colleagues at all levels required
+ Demonstrated professional standards and unwavering integrity and ethical conduct
+ Demonstrated ability for creative thinking and problem solving
+ Must enjoy diverse work activities from details to strategy
+ Experience in nonprofit organization or related role required
