General:Responsibilities include the successful deployment of a comprehensive global HR strategy that supports the growth and profitability of the organization. As a member of the executive staff, plays a key leadership role in identifying and implementing effective strategies regarding human resource issues focusing on continuous improvement opportunities.Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of the Global Talent Management Process, associated metrics (The Talent Management Index - TMI) and Talent Management Reviews. This includes Assessment of Talent, Acquisition of Talent, Development of Talent and Retention of Talent.
  • Evaluates and improves the compensation system structures and processes at Gleason locations world-wide. This includes Executive Compensation and Corporate Incentive Compensation Plans.
  • Working with the Director of HR (US), and using previous experience and exposure to benefits programs make recommendations and improvements to existing programs maintaining the company's competitive position in the labor market, controlling costs and obtaining a uniform benefit plan for all US locations
  • Develops and implements short and long-term human resource programs and initiatives that are aligned with corporate strategies supporting all global operations.
  • Works closely with the Chief Executive Officer on a variety of critical topics including being an important source of information/perspective as to employee issues and any countermeasures required.
  • Provides mentoring and counseling to members of the management team and high potential employees to enhance the effectiveness of the organization.
  • Learns, supports and leads Global key employee development initiatives including leadership development program and Gleason Business Principles.
  • Proponent and advocate of the Gleason Global Culture (communication connectiveness)
Key Competencies:
  • Strategic focus with an ability to drive execution of goals and deliverables.
  • Will be required to travel (including international) approximately 20% of the time.
  • Experience with managing global compensation systems and benefits plans
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project and process management skills, along with financial and analytical acumen.
  • Strong relationship management skills, including the professional maturity and confidence to work effectively with senior executives.
  • Tactful, diplomatic, collaborative with internal customers and service providers
Education/Experience/Training:
  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in human resources (or field requiring many of the required competencies)
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferable.
  • Relevant experience outside of Human Resources could be a plus.
  • Experience working with international locations and cultures desirable.
  • HR Certifications would be beneficial
