Gibson Brands is headquartered in Nashville, TN, with operations in Europe, Japan and China, and distribution partners globally.The Director of Global Logistics will be responsible for the development and execution of a global logistics strategy to serve the physical distribution needs of all of Gibson Brands' businesses. This role includes overseeing all logistics operations across our key sales channels (distributors, dealers and direct-to-consumer), including our directly managed fulfilment operations and third-party partners.This new role is being created to support Gibson's continued growth. The successful candidate will be a highly strategic member of Gibson's leadership team who can drive significant impact as we mature our global capabilities. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this role will have significant exposure to our executive team, providing meaningful opportunities to influence Gibson's broader strategy and operations.Essential FunctionsDevelop, implement, and oversee a global logistics strategy to optimize efficiency, cost, quality and delivery time.Establish clear targets across key operating and cost metrics to measure the success of our global operations.Analyze global logistics capacity when building strategic plans to support anticipated growth.Set operating rhythms to support execution and drive accountability in a mission-critical business function.Take a leadership role in Gibson's sales, inventory and operations planning to drive organizational alignment.Oversee our internal fulfilment operations, including our global distribution center in Nashville, TN.Working in matrixed org, also steer our fulfillment operations outside of the US through dotted line relationships.Set Gibson's strategy for logistics partners (carriers, 3PLs, other partners) and manage these vendor relationships.Develop the broader global logistics team, optimize our organizational structure, and coach our talent.Lead critical technology projects to enhance key logistics systems (ERP, TMS, WMS) as the lead business partner.Lead the formalization of compliance capabilities across product categories and geographies (new formal function).Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate disruptions to the global supply chain.Partner closely with our direct-to-consumer team to accelerate growth through improved service levels and cost.Lead annual budgeting, target setting and organizational planning to ensure the organization's needs are fully met.Connect and build relationships with our key dealer/distributor partners to ensure best-in-industry service levels.Skills, Work Experience and EducationStrong commercial acumen with an ability to translate business objectives into an actionable strategy.Proven track record of success in developing and implementing global logistics strategies.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to engage, develop and lead teams.Demonstrated strength in problem-solving and analysis.Ability to develop clear and compelling business cases, balancing financial considerations with feasibility and risk.Ability to work cross-functionally, driving impact through both influence and direct reporting relationships.Strong understanding of international trade regulations and compliance.Demonstrated ability to engage and manage across all levels of an organization, from handlers to the CEO.Ability to interpret and design Excel/analytical models to drive key business insights.Experience presenting to both functional teams and C-Suite/Executive Leadership.Required Work Experience15+ years of experience in global logistics management.3+ years of experience in a role of similar seniority with direct responsibility for setting a global logistics strategy.Leading a team of at least 5 direct reports and logistics operations at scale (managed through direct reports).Leveraging key logistics software systems (ERP, TMS, WMS). System implementation experience preferred.Overseeing trade compliance programs. Experience establishing/enhancing trade compliance preferred.Exposure to industries with similar distribution models (primarily dealer and distributor sales channels).Managing and optimizing global product flows, including direct shipment programs and managing multiple modes.Exposure to DTC/ecommerce operations, with direct responsibility for timely and cost-effective order fulfilment.Extensive experience managing external partners (carriers, 3PLs, others) as part of a global logistics footprint.Exposure to mature SIOP (sales, inventory, and operations planning) processes.Exposure to and familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.Experience leading fulfilment centers, with a close working knowledge of day-to-day operational practices.Experience working in the durable consumer goods industry is a plus.EducationBachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, or a related field (required).Master's degree in business administration, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).Internal:Dealer and distributor commercial teams (dealer service, BDMs)DTC team (Global Head of DTC and other key DTC leaders)Consumer service team (Director of Consumer Service and key reports)Manufacturing operations (VP Production and Facility Directors)Functional operations leaders (Human Resources, Procurement, Quality, Safety, Continuous Improvement)External:Logistics service providers (carriers, 3PLs, consultants and other service providers)Travel RequirementsPeriodic travel to and between companies will be required ( Physical DemandsBasic physical stances (sitting, standing, walking)We celebrate diversity and Gibson Brands, Inc is an Equal Opportunity employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
