Job Description:
Overview The Fountainhead Group is looking for a Director of Global Procurement to join our FGI Family! The Director of Global Procurement will be responsible for directing the sourcing of all materials and vendors to mitigate supply disruption and maintain an efficient flow of goods and services affecting production. Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead global sourcing initiatives to satisfy production and customer demand.
  • Interface with key suppliers to solve pricing, quality and delivery matters.
  • Direct the negotiations on sourcing and cost reduction initiatives to ensure favorable prices, terms, lead times and continuous cost out initiatives.
  • Facilitate the implementation of best practices with offshore and domestic suppliers.
  • Develop risk management procedures to mitigate supply disruption.
  • Continuously monitor existing suppliers' capabilities, operational strength and quality. Qualify new vendors on the same basis.
  • Work closely with the VP of Asia Pacific Operations managing FGI's Asia Supply chain.
  • Manage the purchasing department by providing leadership, education, delegation and support for direct reports.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and the New Product Development Departments with the sourcing of components and / or finished goods for new product launches.
  • Oversee the creation of new contracts with key suppliers and lead the renewal of existing contracts. Work with FGI counsel where appropriate to ensure optimal contract terms.
  • Communication with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production.
  • Work with suppliers to maintain a safety stock.
  • Oversee RFP's where appropriate.
Remote Position No Min Compensation USD $130,000.00/Yr. Max Compensation USD $150,000.00/Yr. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering or related field
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • At minimum 7 years of direct management experience in purchasing
  • Ability to work well with a team in a high-stress and face-paced environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Work and industry standard purchase order software platforms
  • Past experience with global purchasing
  • Knowledge of custom's, regulations, tariffs and duties is desired
  • Past purchasing experience with Asia and S/E Asian suppliers is desired
  • Knowledge of Epicor is desired
