Job Description:

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is searching for a Director of Global Social Media & Digital Communications to report to the VP, Global Communications and lead our in-house organic social media and digital communications team. The ideal candidate should:

* Have 10+ years of experience in B2B social, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role

* Possess a deep understanding of social platforms and content strategies and be able to execute them via organic motions

* Be a strong leader, with skills in collaboration, team-building and influencing -- and the ability to be flexible and nimble

Responsibilities

* Build one integrated social strategy across HPE social channels, business priorities and corporate narratives

* Integrate social and digital teams and professionals into one high-performance team; design an org structure and build a culture that enables success, facilitates collaboration and efficiency, and creates opportunities for team member growth and development

* Lead strategy and execution across organic social media and digital communications channels; lead development of an end-to-end editorial program to deliver against goals and KPIs; work with team to develop editorial content and optimize performance

* Evaluate effectiveness of channels and develop recommendations on how to optimize and streamline to enhance performance

* Collaborate with Brand creative team to ensure social content is compelling, platform-appropriate and brand-building

* Partner across Marketing & Communications team, including paid social media team, as well as business groups and geo teams to ensure tightly integrated plans and execution

* Help oversee cross-channel forum to align content across owned internal and external communications and media channels

* Lead HPE Newsroom experience by overseeing editorial strategy, calendar, content, and UX updates for HPE's editorial destination for news, thought leadership, and human-interest stories; bring together Newsroom contributors and publishers to deliver a compelling experience for readers

* Lead measurement across channels; apply a data-first approach to analyze performance and glean insights; continually optimize editorial plans, content and engagement across digital experiences; help unify performance data into a central data warehouse and onboard Business Intelligence analytics software for analysis

* Stay up to date on emerging social trends and the social/digital strategies of our industry peers; be a champion for enhancing the social and digital acumen across the Global Communications organization

Qualifications

* BA or BS in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or related field.

* 10+ years of experience in B2B social, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role

* Ideally based in Houston or Bay Area

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. Information about employee benefits offered can be found at

USD Annual Salary: $138,500.00 - $335,500.00
