Location : Midland, MIJob Type: Full-TimeJob Number: 03331Division: Enrollment ManagementDepartment: GR AdmissionsOpening Date: 04/22/2024Closing Date: ContinuousRoles The Director of Graduate Admissions, DeVos Graduate School of Management, is responsible for the overall successful operation of admissions in the DeVos Graduate School of Management program system wide. The incumbent coordinates with DeVos admissions staff, senior university enrollment (domestic and international) and operating unit leadership to implement new student enrollment strategies and manage resources to meet performance expectations. The Director of Graduate Admissions provides leadership in the execution of the new student enrollment and business development plan, the control of the expenses, and other managerial functions as needed. The Director of Graduate Admissions will report directly to the Executive Director, Admissions. Responsibilities
- Achieving new student enrollment objectives
- Channel development (lead gen) in corporations, military and the internet
- Generating local market sales plans with admissions staff
- Ensures the new student enrollment objectives, plans, budgets, policies, practices and actions are consistent with the universities core values, mission statement and operating unit goals
- Recruit, hire, train and manage field and virtual admissions staff to achieve objectives
- Management responsibilities include new student enrollment planning, assigning and directing work of admissions representatives and managers, evaluating staff performance, providing feedback on results, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Work closely with other operating unit leaders and staff (corporate, automotive, military/public safety, international, NU Online, and traditional/residential) on DeVos new student enrollment initiatives system wide
- Develop corporate relationships for strategic partnerships with the university to grow new student enrollments
- Work closely with marketing and communications on DeVos marketing planning
- Managing conversion yield ratios and cost per enrollment budgets
Qualifications
- Earned graduate degree in business or related field, advanced degree desired
- Five years of previous admissions experience preferred
- Management experience required
- Capacity to work in a face-pace environment and self-starter
- Excellent communication skills required
- Corporate sales experience preferred
- Ability to travel overnight 30-40%
