Job Description:
Position Purpose: To provide long-range planning, design, implementation and administration of HR products and services in support of the organization's strategic business objectives in the areas of compensation, benefits, workforce planning, employee relations, labor relations, compliance, employee engagement/satisfaction, performance management and training and development. Essential Responsibilities Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization's long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through workforce planning, recruitment strategies, employee training & development, succession planning and talent management Provides oversight to the MJE Human Resources Department with a strong emphasis on staff development Takes a major initiative to drive organizational change while maintaining the company's culture, values and beliefs Provides HR consultation services to the affiliated MJE Group Operating Units Champions the company's Diversity Equity Inclusion (DEI) strategies and training to promote awareness and an understanding of the importance of inclusivity Implements and annually updates MJE compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys and develops merit pool (salary budget); analyzes compensation; and oversees the performance management process Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains policies and company handbook; administers benefits to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost effectiveness, information activities program, and cash flow Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations Establishes and maintains personnel and HR Department records and reports Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; requisitions and post positions, conducts new-employee orientations; employee onboarding, monitors succession planning program, employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, exit interviews; optimizes social media recruitment footprint Directs the implementation of new or revised HR programs and/or policies through effective communications and training of business unit managers and employees Manages HR projects and initiatives by coordinating and collaborating with Regional Leaders, Business Unit Leaders and other member of Senior Management and staff to develop and implement programs and processes to meet business needs Ensures all human resources activities within the businesses supported are untaken ethically and legally in compliance with company policies, procedures, and all related, federal, state and local employment laws while meeting business needs Participates on the MJE Executive and Safety Steering Committees Works closely with Quanta HR in support of sharing best practices and consultation Collaborates with MJE field personnel regarding a broad range of HR and labor related issues Supports the annual Business Planning and Budgeting process Knowledge | Skills | Abilities SPHR or PHR certification Ability to engage and consult with all levels of management; to establish working relationships and partnerships at all levels of the organization Ability to analyze complex information and formulate decisions. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills Ability to provide oversight to numerous HR projects Strong collaboration and consultation skills Strong background knowledge in performance management, workforce planning, compensation, benefits, labor law, HR compliance, labor relations, employee engagement, collective bargaining and training and development. Qualifications Extensive (12 ) years of HR Generalist experience. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field or commensurate experience Work Environment The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and vendors and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations Continuously operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, scanner, and computer printer Occasionally lifting 20 pounds
