Job Description:

The Sheraton Suites Galleria Atlanta Hotel is looking for a Director of Human Resources to add to their dynamic team. The Director of Human Resources oversees the HR department operations and management to ensure the organization adheres to its policies and procedures.

  • Perform and oversee HR functions for the Sheraton Suites Galleria Atlanta Hotel and the Broadmore Miami Beach Hotel
  • Recruit, interview, reference, and hire candidates for open positions.
  • Analyze, coordinate training classes for associates regarding safety, legal compliance matters, and guest service.
  • Interpret and enforce company policies and employment laws. Support management in enforcing policies and laws, including appropriate discipline.
  • Oversee disciplinary actions that may result in suspension or termination.
  • Conduct annual local hotel wage and benefits surveys.
  • Ensure associates receive appropriate performance reviews and wage increases.
  • Plan and coordinate general meetings, associate gathering, holiday parties, and incentive programs.
  • Ensure safety committee is conducting periodic safety meetings and inspection.
  • Maintain hotel associate personnel files.
  • Resolve personnel issues.
  • Respond to all unemployment claims, work injuries, state disability claims, and wage garnishments.
  • Maintain insurance benefits for eligible associates
  • Responsibility for all personnel administrative paperwork and documentation.
  • Engage and maintain close working relationships with management team.
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual hotel budget.
  • Other tasks, as needed

Requirements:

  • Must have 3 years in Human Resources management role, hotel HR experience preferred
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with all departments during functions
  • Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change.
  • Conducts him\herself (acts and dresses) professionally at all times; sets standards for all associates.
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook
  • High school education and relevant training and experience required. Additional education preferred.
  • Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates
  • Additional language ability preferred.
