URI has a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion among leadership, staff, and clients at residential and nonresidential sites across New York City.POSITION OVERVIEW The Quality Improvement, Evaluation, and Training (QIET) department is seeking a Director of Impact to design and manage strategies for measuring impact across URI's programs. This role will lead the implementation of the Theory of Change (TOC) across the Programs Division, including the creation of logic models and impact metrics to effectively demonstrate outcomes.Salary: is $90,000 - $100,000MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead execution for all impact-related activities across the Programs Division in partnership with department and program leaders.
  • Train Impact Champions across URI's programs to manage impact-related activities within their respective teams.
  • Co-lead the biannual update of existing logic models and the development of new logic models for URI's residential and non-residential programs, serving as a road map to illustrate the interdependencies between program resources, activities, outputs, and intended outcomes.
  • Lead impact measurement for the core outcome categories of safety, housing security, and economic justice.
  • Partner with the Director of Evaluation to support analytics and reporting activities on a quarterly basis.
  • Align contract deliverable activities and outputs with the broader impact goals and objectives across programs.
  • Coordinate and manage strategy implementation project plans, ensuring accountability across all program areas and functions involved, while tracking timelines, deliverables, and progress towards achieving the KPIs.
  • Deliver regular reports on implementation progress, impact assessment findings, and provide recommendations for strategic adjustments based on learning and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Director of Evaluation to support the standardization of delivery and documentation of core services across URI's programs so that they align with the Theory of Change strategies and intended impact, including but not limited to intake, case management, housing placement, and discharge.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Evaluation to improve URI's service delivery model/programming based on learnings and continuous improvement.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
  • A master's degree in fields such as Education, Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related area.
  • At least 3-6 years of experience in program evaluation, impact measurement, and/or research design, preferably in a non-profit or human services setting.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to turn ideas into practical, actionable plans.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and drive successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Expertise in measurement and evaluation, using insights to shape strategy and foster continuous improvement in nonprofit, education, government, or private sector settings.
  • Ability to create clear and impactful data visualizations for a variety of data sets (qualitative and quantitative) and audiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
