Mantell Associates is currently partnered with a leading Cell Therapy CDMO in their search for a Director of IT.
Director of IT - Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with business goals, enhances operational efficiency, and ensures scalability
- IT Infrastructure & Operations: Oversee the design, deployment, and management of a robust, secure, and compliant IT infrastructure. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness
- Cybersecurity: Lead cybersecurity strategy, focusing on proactive measures, incident response, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, GDPR)
- Data Management & Analytics: Implement data management and analytics solutions that enhance decision-making, process optimization, and traceability across the CDMO lifecycle
- Team Development & Management: Build and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and other teams to understand technology needs, ensure alignment, and drive process improvement
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with IT service providers, ensuring service quality and value while managing contracts and vendor performance
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all IT operations and systems comply with applicable regulatory standards, including those specific to cell therapy and biomanufacturing
Director of IT - Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in IT, with 5+ years in a leadership role, preferably within a life sciences or CDMO environment
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity best practices
- Proven experience in developing and implementing IT strategies that support manufacturing, quality, and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for cell therapy, biomanufacturing, and/or GMP environments
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
