Director of Information Technology Reading, PA Campus, 1621 N 13th St, Reading, Pennsylvania, United States of America Req #988 Wednesday, December 4, 2024 Position Overview: Albright College seeks a highly motivated and experienced Director of Information Technology (IT) to provide visionary leadership and strategic oversight of the colleges IT operations and services. This role will act as the primary liaison between Albright College and our outsourced IT partner, Dynamic Campus, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and service excellence. The Director will oversee the IT budget, lead cost-saving initiatives, and play a pivotal role in the highly anticipated migration to a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The Director will collaborate with stakeholders across campus to support technology-driven projects and ensure the delivery of reliable, efficient, and innovative IT solutions. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Administration. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership and IT Governance: Serve as the primary liaison with Dynamic Campus, ensuring service-level agreements (SLAs) are met and fostering a collaborative partnership. Provide strategic direction for IT initiatives in alignment with the colleges mission and objectives. Establish and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and best practices. 2. ERP Migration and Implementation: Lead and oversee the colleges migration to a new ERP system, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and seamless integration. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and Dynamic Campus to ensure project milestones are achieved. Monitor and report on the progress of the migration, addressing challenges proactively. 3. Budget Management and Cost Optimization: Develop and manage the IT budget in collaboration with the Vice President of Administration. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining the quality of IT services. Monitor expenditures, ensure financial accountability, and recommend resource allocations that optimize ROI. 4. Campus-wide IT Support and Project Collaboration: Partner with academic and administrative departments to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance the campus experience. Provide oversight and support for campus-wide IT projects, ensuring timely and successful execution. Promote the use of emerging technologies to advance the colleges academic and operational goals. 5. Team and Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with campus stakeholders, promoting transparency and open communication regarding IT initiatives. Act as an advocate for the college's IT needs with external partners and vendors. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Masters degree preferred. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within higher education. Demonstrated experience in overseeing ERP migrations or major technology implementations. Strong budget management and cost-saving experience. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Familiarity with outsourced IT service models and vendor relationship management. Knowledge of higher education IT needs, including academic technologies, cybersecurity, and data governance. Preferred Skills and Attributes: Proven track record of managing large-scale IT projects with multiple stakeholders. Ability to think strategically while focusing on operational execution. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing IT challenges. Commitment to fostering innovation and continuous improvement in IT services. Fluency in Spanish, preferred.
