About the Role
As the Director of Information Technology, you will be in a fast-paced team environment focused on effective team leadership, strategic planning, expanding service opportunities, sourcing and vetting of technologies, and ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service. You will work closely with executive leadership, project management, and other teams to determine the viability of strategies, test models, and prospect investments while also supporting our active portfolio.
This role requires a strong passion for learning and professional development with respect to general investing knowledge. You will work both independently and with a diverse team performing a wide range of projects as well as administrative tasks. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to provide information and service to a wide range of internal and external contacts. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hires and trains IT staff and other staff on an as-needed basis.
- Schedules, organizes, and assigns projects to members of the IT team.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Leads and oversees the project management team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Leads development and implementation processes for the organizations IT systems and department.
- Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
- Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
- Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
- Facilitates IT security audits or investigations, makes recommendations and takes action.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Analyzing data, creating detailed reports and presenting findings to the executive leadership team.
- Creating, ownership of and reporting on an annual budget.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
- 8+ years of overall experience in technical roles
- 4+ years of experience leading technical teams
- Broad and deep understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company's goals, including but not limited to: Ticketing, RMM, MDM, SSO, Active Directory or related with respect to Windows, Mac and Linux.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
- 5% 401k contributions (regardless of employee contribution)
