BMHD also provides $40,000 life insurance and long-term disability for all Full-Time employees.Job Description:The Director of Information Technology (IT) will play a crucial role in overseeing the technology infrastructure, systems, and software utilized within the hospital environment. This individual will lead a team of technology professionals to ensure that all technology systems are running efficiently and securely, and that staff are trained in their use.Key Responsibilities:* Oversee the hospital's technology infrastructure, systems, and software.* Lead and manage a team of technology professionals to ensure efficient and secure operation of all technology systems.* Provide expertise in the CPSI electronic medical record system, HL7 standards, promoting interoperability reporting, PACS standards, RIS, LIS, networking, and server virtualization.* Ensure staff are trained in the effective utilization of technology systems.* Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements relevant to the healthcare IT landscape.* Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare industry regulations such as HIPAA and HITECH.Qualifications:* At least 5 years of experience in IT leadership, with a demonstrated track record of successful technology implementation and management.* Experience with the CPSI electronic medical record system.* Familiarity with HL7 standards and Promoting Interoperability Reporting.* Knowledge of State and Government regulations and reporting.* A solid understanding of healthcare industry regulations and requirements such as HIPPA and HITECH* Experience with the CPSI electronic medical record system, knowledge of HL7 standards, promoting interoperability reporting, PACS standards, RIS, LIS, strong networking skills, and a strong knowledge of server virtualization is preferred* Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbout Us:Ballinger Memorial Hospital District offers numerous outpatient services, acute and swing bed care, and is certified as a level IV trauma ER.
