About the Role - We are seeking a Director of IT Infrastructure to lead and manage our IT infrastructure team, ensuring the stability, efficiency, and security of our IT systems. This role is pivotal in driving our infrastructure strategies, optimizing performance, and supporting the company's global operations. The ideal candidate is a seasoned IT infrastructure professional with a strong leadership background and a passion for implementing high-impact IT solutions.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Leadership:
- Develop and execute an IT infrastructure strategy aligned with Best Doctors Insurance's business goals and growth plans.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the IT infrastructure team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Partner with senior management to assess current and future infrastructure needs, aligning resources and solutions accordingly.
- Infrastructure Operations & Management:
- Oversee the design, deployment, and management of network, server, storage, and cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Manage IT service providers and vendors, ensuring adherence to SLAs and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor and maintain system health, uptime, and performance; establish metrics to evaluate system efficiency and implement improvements.
- Security & Compliance:
- Ensure infrastructure security protocols and procedures comply with industry standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Implement robust data protection and disaster recovery plans to safeguard company and client data.
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to identify vulnerabilities and implement proactive security measures.
- Project Management:
- Lead and oversee IT infrastructure projects, including new installations, upgrades, and migrations.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process and system improvements, driving innovation in infrastructure management.
- Facilitate change management and ensure smooth transitions for technology upgrades and transformations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing network, server, storage, and cloud infrastructure in a global environment.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
