Position Details: MedElite is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of IT & Cybersecurity who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our IT infrastructure and ensuring the security of our digital assets. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, requiring a deep understanding of IT systems, cybersecurity best practices, and the unique challenges of the healthcare sector. Responsibilities:
  • IT Strategy & Leadership:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive IT strategies aligned with MedElite's business goals.
    • Lead the IT department, including managing IT staff, budgeting, and resource allocation.
    • Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all IT systems.
  • Cybersecurity Management:
    • Design and enforce robust cybersecurity policies to protect MedElite's data and IT infrastructure.
    • Monitor and manage security operations to detect, respond to, and mitigate security incidents.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA.
Infrastructure & Network Management:
    • Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of IT systems and infrastructure.
    • Manage the implementation of new technology solutions and upgrade existing systems.
    • Oversee network architecture, ensuring it meets current and future requirements.
  • Compliance & Governance:
    • Ensure IT operations adhere to relevant laws and regulations, including healthcare-specific compliance requirements.
    • Develop and maintain documentation related to IT policies, procedures, and cybersecurity measures.
    • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and address any findings.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
    • Manage relationships with external IT service providers, vendors, and consultants.
    • Coordinate with other departments to understand their IT needs and deliver effective solutions.
    • Communicate IT-related updates, issues, and initiatives to executive leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity management within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, and systems.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
