Position Overview We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Lean/Continuous Improvement to lead transformative initiatives at HandyTube Corporation. Reporting directly to the President, you will be the driving force behind optimizing our business processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your leadership will directly impact our profitability and market position, ensuring that HandyTube remains at the forefront of the industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on leadership experience in implementing Lean methodologies and 80/20 principles. You will work cross-functionally to identify opportunities for improvement, new product development, streamline processes, and drive sustainable growth. Your success will be measured by direct and indirect cost savings, improved KPIs, and the successful execution of strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy aligned with HandyTube's business objectives.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and prioritize high-impact improvement opportunities across the organization. Lead root-cause analysis, establish KPIs, and implement solutions that drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Lean Implementation: Guide teams in creating Value Stream Maps, Kaizen Roadmaps, and other Lean tools to drive process improvements. Champion Lean Management Systems at all organizational levels.
  • Cultural Transformation: Drive cultural change by engaging and mentoring employees in Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Lead training programs that enhance Lean capabilities across the organization.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, engineering, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to achieve business goals.
  • Customer Focus: Improve customer satisfaction by optimizing processes that reduce lead times, enhance product quality, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Capital Projects: Lead the approval and execution of major capital expenditure projects, ensuring alignment with Lean principles and strategic goals.
Performance Profile As the Director of Lean/Continuous Improvement, you will be instrumental in driving HandyTube's strategic and cultural evolution. You will leverage your expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and 80/20 principles to lead teams in eliminating waste, reducing costs, and enhancing customer value. Your leadership will contribute to safer operations, improved quality, and greater efficiency across the organization. Candidate Profile We are looking for a high-impact leader with the following qualities:
  • Leadership Excellence: Proven track record in leading large teams through organizational transformation. Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate others toward achieving business goals.
  • Process Orientation: Deep understanding of process improvement methodologies with a focus on Lean and Six Sigma tools. Experience in successfully implementing these methodologies in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications
  • Education: BS or BA in Engineering, Business, or a related field. Equivalent experience in business transformation and high-impact roles will also be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in implementing Lean or continuous improvement programs within a manufacturing or operations environment, with demonstrated success in waste elimination, process improvement, and cost reduction.
  • Skills: Strong facilitation, communication, and analytical skills. Proficient in data collection, analysis, and project management. Familiarity with commercial processes and tools, including ERP systems.
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, action-oriented, and committed to driving change. Excellent judgment, problem-solving abilities, and a strong sense of responsibility.
